Witchcraft Santeria
So my mother said that Haiti got the earthquake because they practice witchcraft && santeria!?
Ok she said her (Devout Christian) friend told her that Haiti got the earthquake because the majority of them practice Santeria and witchcraft and all that and God does not approve of that therefore he hit them with an earthquake.I was so mad and kinda shocked my mother agreed with that but I didnt know what to say.She said that its written in the Bible and blah blah blah…….does anyone have any opinions on this?also what would be a good way to prove her wrong or to make her feel idk……dumb.
With people that ignorant, there’s no help. People like that can’t comprehend logic or reasoning. They simply think everything their religion tells them is the truth. They interpret the Bible literally when in reality the Bible is simply a way of saying, try to live your life the best way you can and in the end, you will receive peace. Heaven is not a place, it’s a state of being. It’s the state your in when you have finished your life. It’s peace. At least in my opinion. People can interpret the Bible however they want I don’t care. I’m Christian. I believe in the moral values of Christianity. But I don’t think that for example the theory of evolution should be ignored because the Bible says otherwise. It’s almost completely proven scientifically. Saying that God hit Haiti with an earthquake because their Satanists is (for use of a better word) completely retarded. That’s like saying Muslims are going to go to hell because their Muslims. Jesus believed that as long as those Satanists (which the people in Haiti aren’t by the way) aren’t killing people and are living their lives without being completely destructive and evil, they can go into Heaven. It’s not their fault they were brought up to be Satanists or Muslims. And that is my rant for this 3 AM.
